Malsfeld – Dr. Schumacher GmbH has significantly enhanced its sustainability rating and is now ranked among the top 20% in the industry for sustainable and socially responsible supply chains. In the overall industry comparison, the hygiene specialist has reached the 81st percentile and has once again been awarded the silver medal. The evaluation was carried out by EcoVadis, one of the world’s largest providers of such ratings.
Dierk Schumacher, Managing Director of the company, emphasized the significance of this recognition:
“This is only the second time our company has been rated by EcoVadis. The fact that we already rank among the top fifth in the industry shows our strong commitment to environmental protection and a sustainable supply chain. Considering the size of our company, we are a hidden sustainable champion!”
Dr. Schumacher was first awarded the EcoVadis silver medal last year. This year, the specialist in wipes improved its performance in the categories of Ethics and Sustainable Procurement, while maintaining its excellent level in the categories of Environment and Labor & Human Rights.

EcoVadis is one of the world’s leading providers of business sustainability ratings. Dr. Schumacher collaborates with EcoVadis to evaluate its entire supply chain in order to reduce risks associated with suppliers and subcontractors. Despite not being legally required to do so, the hygiene specialist already complies with the requirements of the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act.
