Electromagnetic Plates are mounted or suspended above the feeding conveyor belt to separate large pieces of metal that pose a hazard to crushers, mills and grinders. Suspended Electromagnetic Plates can also separate sharp metals that can damage or tear conveyor belts, especially at transfer points. Electromagnets are heavy, solid and powerful. Thanks to its very strong magnetic field effect, it can easily magnetise large pieces of iron from a longer effective distance. However, it is important that the feed belt chassis just below the magnet, the rollers are of non-magnetic material or it will become magnetised in the chassis. The electromagnet can be turned off for service or cleaning purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Features and Advantages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It has the maximum installation height among magnetic systems.<\/li>\n<li>The maximum suspension height of the Electromagnetic Plate should not exceed 50 cm between the feeding band and the Electromagnet.<\/li>\n<li>It works when its electricity is given, and when it is cut off, it loses its magnetic property.<\/li>\n<li>Electromagnetic hanging plate magnets can be opened and closed. When the electromagnet is turned off, the Ferromagnetic (Fe) particles fall out of the magnetic, making cleaning easier. (Manual provides quick cleaning and flexible use.)<\/li>\n<li>There are units with cooling against the heating of the coils (air-cooled and oil-cooled models).<\/li>\n<li>Aluminium or copper coil is used.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Disadvantages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They are more complex than permanent (permanently) suspended plate magnets: a large electric coil is required to create a strong magnetic field. This makes them less suitable for mobile installations; they are more expensive than permanent suspended plate magnets and require more maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Electromagnetic Plate magnets consume power and a control board and power supply are required. This increases the operating cost.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Styles and Models<\/p>\n<p>Manual Cleaning Models (Electromagnetic Plates)<\/p>\n<p>In Manual Cleaning Electromagnetic Plate models, the magnet power can be periodically turned off and cleaned of gathered iron.<\/p>\n<p>In Manual Cleaning Electromagnetic systems, if requested, it can be provided to slide the Electromagnet from the band to the side walkway together with the stand or chassis to which the Electromagnet will be hung or attached. The Electromagnetic Plate continues to magnetise materials without cutting off the energy, and it can be pulled to the side walkway of the band with a slide for cleaning, and the ferromagnetic material that it holds can be discharged out of the feeding conveyor belt and activated again (on the band) by energizing it.<\/p>\n<p>The system can be made optional at the end of each shift. The sliding system is provided with a double-speed brake, electric motor, trolley system. It is supported by end-of-travel limit switches. The movement mechanism and the operation of the Electromagnetic Plate can be provided with a wired hand terminal. Occupational safety is ensured by operating the audible and yellow warning lamp while the system is in motion and until it reaches the first operating position. In case of system failure, the red warning lamp is also on.<\/p>\n<p>Self-Cleaning Models (Auto-Cleaning Electromagnetic Plates)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Self-Cleaning Electromagnetic Plate&#8221; models provide fully automatic product removal and can be installed in the &#8220;parallel&#8221; or &#8220;cross-band&#8221; position. Automatic Cleaning provides convenience in the transport of dense ferromagnetic (Fe) materials over the Electromagnet. Both models have a belt conveyor around the magnet to allow the iron to be automatically ejected from the magnet surface.
