In the guard tour control systems package ; there is Smartpen (security guard patrol), security guards equipment, checkpoint readers placed the point on building or locations need to be check, security guard keys or tags, security officer equipment supply and guard tour patrol tracking software for receiving detailed security patrol monitoring reports.
Before starting a patrol, a guard identifies themselves to the system, often by using their personal ID tag or key fob on the handheld reader (“Smart Pen”).
The guard walks their designated route. As they arrive at each checkpoint, they bring the tip of the guard tour device close to the checkpoint tag. The device records the unique ID of the checkpoint along with the precise time and date.
At the end of the shift, the guard hands the device to a supervisor. The device is connected to a computer, typically via a USB cable.
Using the Guard Tour Management Software, all the stored data is transferred from the device. The software processes this data to create detailed reports that show which guard was on duty and which points were visited and at what times.
